The Oak Valley Tree Services team spent a couple of days dismantling Elm (Ulmus Procera) and Ash (Fraxinus Excelsior) Trees, located on a steep bank and overhanging a newly built barn conversion.
Most of the Elm Trees had died, or were dying, from Dutch Elm Disease so our new clients wanted to remove the trees as they were posing a hazard to their neighbours newly built barn.
These were mostly very tall and very skinny trees, which Craig had to climb and dismantle in small pieces due to the presence of an inconveniently placed BT telephone line. The team spent one and a half days removing approximately 14 trees.
Our new clients (who provided the best coffee so far in 2020!) were happy to save some money by losing the brash waste in their quite vast woodland, removing the need for us to provide a wood chipper, and all the wood suitable for firewood was cleaned up, cut in to lengths and neatly stacked.
As we had finished halfway through the second day, we removed a few extra trees for our customer at the front of the property to allow sunlight in for their new greenhouse and vegetable patches!
Our clients were very happy with the end result, and the team enjoyed this job (and it didn’t rain once)!
